As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best food for our students, sustainably sourced and locally produced, we’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with Burton Mill, a historic local mill known for its high-quality flour. The flour is milled in a traditional way using heritage machinery and only water power.

Starting this term, our school will be using flour from Burton Mill to bake fresh sourdough bread for our students. This marks a significant step forward in our mission to connect children with the origins of their food, reduce our environmental footprint, and support local producers.

Burton Mill shares our values of sustainability and community, and their traditional milling methods ensure that the flour we use is not only nutritious but also produced with care for the environment. By sourcing directly from them, we’re strengthening our local food network and offering our children bread that’s wholesome, delicious, and rooted in our region’s heritage.
