We were delighted to welcome a very special visitor to Duncton School this week. They brought with them an incredible piece of history – an original piece of needlework stitched by Henry Killick, a pupil at our school in the 1860s.
This delicate work has been lovingly preserved for over 160 years and will now take pride of place in our school, thanks to the generosity of Henry’s great-grandchild, John Winchester, who kindly donated it and arranged for it to be beautifully framed.
It’s wonderful to have such a tangible link to our past, reminding us of the generations of learners who have been part of Duncton’s story. We are so grateful for this thoughtful gift and look forward to sharing it with our pupils and visitors.
