The Graffham & Duncton Federation
Our schools are situated in the South Downs National Park and our children spend a considerable amount of time learning outside, either as part of their normal lessons or in Forest School sessions.
We personalise our creative curriculum to ensure that all children reach their potential based on their own curiosity and their interests. We care about each child and their family, valuing our strong links between home and school and church, and are always supportive of the needs of families and children both emotionally and academically.
Our Learning Values and Christian Values underpin all of our actions within school. Our Learning Values, “the 7 Cs”, are taken from the research work of Professor Bill Lucas and his book ‘Educating Ruby’ :
- Confidence
- Craftsmanship
- Creativity
- Collaboration
- Curiosity
- Communication
- Commitment
Our Church of England Vision Statement
“Our creative Church of England schools nurture our whole community to flourish and embrace life in all its fullness (John 10.10). We develop kind, thoughtful children through enhancing friendships, promoting diversity, embracing spirituality and actively caring for our world. Confident in the inclusivity of our vision, we encourage curious, respectful learners who deeply explore faith, knowledge and wisdom together.”
Over 180 Years Of Learning
Graffham School has existed on the same site for over 180 years and today it is the only state funding primary school in West Sussex to be situated within a Grade 2 listed building?
